e-safety

We are first and foremost, an online provision. We therefore hold e-safety as a paramount consideration. Each young person has Intego Content Barrier installed on their computer, if it has been provided by us. This filters both online content, emails and messaging, for inappropraiate language or images. Computers accessed at Ruskin House are protected and routinely monitored at router and server level. Each student and parent/guardian signs an agreement that they will endeavour to ensure their own or their child's safety. Similarly, parents and students are regularly reminded of ways to ensure their own safety. The staff team receive regular e-safety awareness training.
